The McCloud is in great shape. The water is pretty clear with just a tinge of that classic glacial tint in the water. We fished it hard the other day down in the Preserve water and found nooks and crannies that were stuffed with good to average sized rainbows.

**Broken Record. Great fishing right now on the Sac.. Warmer weather is getting the Caddis moving.. these trout can get pretty reckless when the Caddis and hatching.
The grabs are “agro” and you can usually find fish in some tight, skinny spots. All signs are pointing to us having an excellent summer season out on the big river.

Pit has been FANTASTIC recently. Fish have been chowing subsurface. A lot of action for the angler that can wade a bit and cover the water here.
I don’t think there is a more productive small stream in the North State than this gem. Giggling-good fishing out there right now. Big Stones, sallies, caddis and various mayflies all out and about.
