Upper Sacramento Fly Fishing Report

Upper Sacramento RiverJun 6, 20181 min read

Anthony Carruesco reports on 6.6.18

Upper Sac

There has been some very good fishing to be had on the Upper Sac recently. Being able to “stick and move” is key. Covering a lot of water with the dry dropper rig can be very effective.

Don’t get hung up too long in one spot if they’re not eating. A big stone dry or larger parachute with a heavy dropper has been the ticket for us. Highstickin’ the pockets with a light nymph rig are great too. Caddis, mayflies, stoneflies, and midges are all on the menu.
