Lower Sac

Lower Sac is still fishing really well. I’ll continue to fish this river several days a week all summer long. I’ve been floating mostly the lower portions below Anderson lately. The fish are smaller but what they may lack in size they more than make up for in strength and aggressiveness. The lower floats are a lot more scenic and a lot less crowded. Caddis and general Lower Sac staples like RL’s, Prince nymphs and S&M’s work fine down there. I get more excited fishing on the upper river around Redding as the evening sessions turn on. Right now the evening can be pretty good with caddis and little yellow stones coming off in good numbers. Look for PED’
