On Super Bowl Sunday the Iron Gate section of the Klamath River saw one guide boat. The clarity of the water was greenish brown and the wind gusted up to 30mph in the afternoon, conditions were tough but we had it all to ourselves. As I am typing this right now, the Upper Sac is currently flowing at 26,700 cfs and is climbing at about 1000 cfs an hour. This river is huge right now and should definitely be avoided, but it is a spectacular site to see! Keep looking forward to spring-time fishing on The Upper Sac and keep dreaming about the big golden and salmon stoneflies in May and June!
