I think “el nino” has arrived. We got pounded with precipitation up here the past few days. Snow down to 2,000 ft. Cold. Wet. Awesome. The current river conditions on the Lower Sac remain great. Steelhead are moving on the Klamath River.  Water Temps have been dropping and more cold weather is on way.  Fish are eating closer to the bottom on the swing and only very few King Salmon remain in the system.  Covering plenty of water in a day has proven successful for a nice steelhead.

The last cold snap sent water temps way down on the Klamath, we are now in winter steelhead mode with temps in the 40’s. With that, there are fish all over the river many being very bright and hard fighting.
