Leslie Ajari reports on 1.20.2016
The NorCal/Southern Oregon coast as well as
the inland steelhead rivers such as the Trinity are blown out and
expected to stay so for the next week or so, pending no more storms push
in…. although it looks like there are a few storms on their way. One
of the most important parts of understanding winter steelheading is that
its all about timing. The rain is excellent for fishing conditions once
river flows drop, visibility improves and the color changes from mud
brown to that perfect steelhead green. Trips can be touch and go; its
best to expect some cancellations, and book a few trips to allow for
some flexibility with the weather.
