I
think “el nino” has arrived. We got pounded with precipitation up here
the past few days. Snow down to 2,000 ft. Cold. Wet. Awesome. The
current river conditions on the Lower Sac remain great. We’ve had some
very good winter fishing this month on the Sac. This is the time of year
when we catch trout that barely fit in the net.
The
main draw has been the steelhead fishing. Both the Trinity and Klamath
have kicked out some bomber days over the past few months. Now that we
have some some substantial precip, flows will be up and down over the
next couple of months. As many of you know, timing is a big part of
steelhead fishing. Catching one of these rivers clearing and on the
drop; you can expect to find some good fishin’.
