The McCloud River has been good to great as well. Finding some shade and picking the fast oxygenated pockets during the heat of the day is fruitful right now. Evening hatches have been getting fish looking up in the right places. 

Wet wading this river right now is a great way to enjoy this fishery.

Summer conditions are becoming clear and hot weather tactics are advised.  The Mccloud is still fishing well.  Hatches are few but some bugs can still be found and some fish looking up are being caught. Bring lots of water with you as the heat has been hard to escape.

Good solid fishing on the Truckee River. Flows have been bumped up a bit, but not much change since last week. Get out in the mornings and you’ll get some fish. Afternoons maybe not so much. It is hot, around 90’ish every afternoon in the Hirsch. Very nice in the mornings.
