The Delta Striper Fall Run is in full swing.  Fishing is really good and were catching good numbers of fun fish.  

The fish are well distributed in all areas of the Delta.  The weather is settling into  our typical Fall pattern with calmer winds and cooling air temperatures.  I hope you can fit in some Delta Striper fishing into your Fall schedule

Striper fishing in the Delta has slowed up a bit but continues to be good & should be great in the coming weeks. Largemouth are also available & can be fun Topwater wise on low light days. Water temperatures are 68-70 degrees in much of the Delta with cooler weather setting in.

The Upper Sacramento River

The Upper Sac is fishing very good too up around Dunsmuir and down to mid river. The further south you go on the river the more likely to find bigger fish. Access below Gibson has been tough due to the fire mop up but when it opens up I expect the fishing to be very good. 

Haven’t seen any October Caddis yet but that should happen any day....

McCloud River

Excellent fishing this week on the McCloud. 

Primarily a sub-surface nymph game but the numbers of fish have been impressive our last few outings. 

There are also plenty of migratory brown trout around, lurking amongst the rainbows. These fish make for one hell of an added bonus.

Lower Sacramento River

Fishing has remained good over the past week. Still mostly a bug game but there have been a good number of King Salmon showing in the upper river, meaning the egg drop isn’t that far out.

 We’ve been seeing some very quality fish this year. 

We’re expecting this trend to continue and even get stronger as the Fall season progresses.

Cold nights, warm afternoons on the Truckee side, cool nights, and hot afternoons on the Reno side. Be nice to get some weather, but hard to complain about how nice the weather is.
