Heavy, heavy, snow again in Tahoe. Awesome for the Truckee River. We really didn’t get any rain this round, all snow even here in Hirschdale, 5,500 feet. Up top there is a shit-ton of snow now.

The picture below is at about 2,400 cfs on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night the Truckee River rose to almost 4,000 cfs here in the Hirsch-which is flood stage. Things will change this week as an AR is aimed at Nor Cal, lots of rain and snow expected. Good news for both Pyramid Lake in Nevada, and on the Truckee River. We had some pretty good snowfall and temps are for continued cold in our area.

The Truckee River is still about the same as last post. Flows are about 225 cubes here in the Hirsch and bit higher down into Nevada. Winter fishing folks. Trouts have moved into slower deeper water....
