The picture below is at about 2,400 cfs on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night the Truckee River rose to almost 4,000 cfs here in the Hirsch-which is flood stage. Delta Striper fishing is good for numbers.  The recent rains has warmed the water to 53 degree range.  The fish stay active in this range.  I have downsized my flies  size to around 4 inches.  The type three intermediate line is my line of choice for most situations .

Reports we good at China Camp again last weekend and the rain usually will bring fish up into Corte Madera creek. Smaller flies and slower retrieve is the ticket with colder water temps.

Things will change this week as an AR is aimed at Nor Cal, lots of rain and snow expected. Good news for both Pyramid Lake in Nevada, and on the Truckee River. Looks like the storm door could remain open for the rest of the month. We need it. Look for the Truckee River to start pumping after this weekend. 200 right now or so...
