Fishing can be good if you can find the fish. The fish are still very active and are eating a large fly with no problem. The water temps are between 48 and 50 degrees. We have a number or reports of fish being caught up and down the California coast. Not many but folks are finding fish here and there. Time to load up the Van and get after it. The flows are very low so check low flow restrictions if you are planning a trip.

Fishing is just starting/slow. Flows are low and the water is clear. Rain is desperately needed to keep the mouth open and fish coming in. Fish have been trickling in and moving around the lower river with more arriving each day. They are spooky and have seen a bit of pressure. It’s still worth a try on the Lower Russian!!
