Fall is here, the trees are turning and the fishing is great!

Mokelumne- With flows down to 750cfs starting this Saturday, the Lower Mokelumne is very floatable for well-designed water craft and experienced rowers.
Upper Moke on Hwy 4 is also fishing well.

The fire is still raging, 45,000 acres - the size of the city of Seattle as of this writing, threatening Mariposa and up the Merced River canyon. Mokelumne-  Snags are taken care of and drifting is good things are hot so hydrate.

Stanislaus

  • Hell’s Kitchen, Herring Creek and small streams are your best bet. The main forks are still a little high, you can fish the edges. Streamers and nymphs are best.
  • Below Goodwin Dam - 1,300 CFS - Too high to float and fish.

Tuolumne 6,500 @ Merals Pool. Some Tribs are fish-able South Fork is getting in shape.
