Ryan Johnston Reports on 6/1/2016

The shad fishing continues to hold strong on the Sacramento River outside of Chico. With the warm nights the later evening hours are starting to get better and better. It has been a good shad year this year with most nights resulting in 40ish grabs. The shad fishing is going to be wrapping up the next couple of weeks. So go grab that 6/7 weight with a 250-275 grain shooting head and go hit your favorite shad spot.
Striper fishing should be getting going by the third week of June. Prime time fishing is late June through early August. So come check out some summer striper fishing and hunt for that next fish or a lifetime.
Open Dates - June 16, 22, July 1, 3-4, 12, 21
Thanks,
Ryan Johnston
