Lower Sac

The Lower Sac has showed us some extremely good fishing since the last update. Hatches of PMDs and spring Caddis have been driving the fishing most days. The last few days out; the hatches have started to wane quite a bit with fewer and fewer bugs coming off. The fish have certainly gotten a little bit quicker so having a ninja quick set will do you good right now. Clouds and a lot of rain in the forecast this week. It’d be nice to get a little color in the water to put the pressured fish back at ease.

One thing is for certain - the big bug hatches we’ve had the past few months should continue and make for a special late Spring and Summer on the Sac. Dry fly opportunities have presented themselves most days out. It’s not always predictable but when it does happen it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
