Deschutes River Fly Fishing Report

Deschutes River
The amazingly nice weather we’ve been having has made for some nice days on the water, but the fishing of late has definitely been up and down due to the lack of bugs. But now the game is changing.
The salmon flies are finally making their annual guest appearance which should get the trout ready to chow everything in sight. So if you like enjoy fishing big dries to eager fish this is your time. The salmon fly hatch usually only stick around for two or three weeks, so there is no time to wait.
