Trout opener is Saturday, and the Burney-Fall River Mills Intermountain area has lots of water.
All of our waters are full and cold, and some restoration projects have us pretty excited. Cal Trout is almost finished with a project on Hat Creek. We are looking forward to see how it improves fishing. For more info check out Cal Trout website.
The Fall River should be producing some nice fish right off the bat. There aren’t many weeds yet in the river so try to find those and that’s where the fish will be.
The Pit is already fishing well, in all stretches. One is a bit high and off color but still producing some nice fish. Three is at its normal flows and fishing great.
