Used Shilton SR12 Fly Reel

The Shilton SR12 is a heavy-duty, high-capacity saltwater and big-game fly reel engineered in South Africa specifically for grueling fights against large pelagic species and massive flats targets like GTs, tarpon, milkfish, and billfish. The "SR" (Silent Retrieve) series is renowned for its ultra-smooth, robust cork drag system, massive line capacity, and bombproof bar-stock aluminum construction.

An SR12 in used condition with very little damage—just a few cosmetic nicks on the bottom of the frame—is a highly desirable find on the secondary market. Because these reels are purpose-built to withstand extreme pressure and harsh saltwater environments, minor frame rash on the bottom from being set down on boats or gravel is standard and does not impact structural integrity or mechanical performance.

Reel comes spooled with 30lb Dacron backing and a Rio Metered Shooting line.
