Crafted by hand in the birthplace of the American Revolution, Thomas & Thomas rods exude fishiness. You can feel Paul Revere's presence when you pick up one of these heritage fly rods. Deep, colbalt blue blanks and premium hardware are standard. This model is equipped with the extended cork grip for choking up and pulling hard on big fish.

The 8'6" 13 weight is meant for the biggest, meanest fish in the ocean. A bluewater beast, think striped marlin in Mag Bay, giant migratory tarpon in the Gabon, sailfish in Guatemala, this stick is built to throw big flies far, in windy conditions, while bobbing around in a boat in the middle of the ocean. There is nothing finesse about this stick, it's all raw power. You could use it as a javelin. 2-pieces may be harder to travel with, but fewer pieces means more lifting power and fewer breakage points. 

This rod is is grade A condition and barely ever used. Cork is clean and no damage to the rod. It comes with original rod sock and no tube.
