The Bay is teeming with stripers and with this premium outfit, you will be prepared for anything. First, we chose the USA made Sage Salt R8 890-4 fly rod. We similarly chose the Sage Spectrum LT Fly Reel - 7/8wt because of its machined aluminum body, smooth drag, and corrosion-resistant construction. For running line we chose our in-house custom 50lb running line. This is an absolutely epic choice for bombing shooting heads and large flies out into the bay. It is the most supple, durable and tangle-free running line we have come across. For this outfit, we chose 3 shooting heads so you will be ready for anything. The Rio Outbound Shooting 8wt Intermediate, Sink 3 which is perfect for 4-5 of water and Sink 6 which is great for fishing out of a boat in rips along Angel Island or out on the beach. You will want to keep all of these heads organized so we included a Rio Head Wallet. You'll also get a spool of Rio Fluoroflex Saltwater Tippet and 4 Adachi Clousers so you are ready to rock from the minute you get your outfit. Oh, and as your local fly shop, we will give you some spots to go fish!
