Ultimate two-hand performance

Introducing the new Microspey AIR 2, utilizing our new, high-performance AIR 2 boron/graphite materials to provide anglers an unbelievably lightweight and responsive action that allows for ultimate presentation and faster line speeds to out-perform cast after cast. With an overall lighter weight, faster recovery, smoother connection, and sweeter feel, the Microspey Air 2 provides extraordinary feedback through the cast and swing. This small series of trout-centric spey rods provides incredible performance when adding movement to swung flies, increased line control, and unrivaled feel when fighting trout-sized fish. All rods include a logo rod sock and a graphite rod tube. Made in Twin Bridges, Montana.

Designed with the help of renowned spey caster Brian Silvey, AIR TH rods were tested on the most challenging steelhead, salmon, and sea-run brown trout fisheries in the world. Powerful, lightweight, and responsive, they are regarded as “the choice” for serious two-handed angling. AIR TH rods are available in variety of weights and lengths to cover all casting styles and the full spectrum of Skagit and Scandi grain windows. All models come with a graphite tube and logo rod sock.

Still dubious Winston is a legit two-handed rod company? You haven't cast the Air TH. We love these rods here at LCO. They are an absolute pleasure to cast and so light you can snap-T all day long without feeling fatigued. The springy load and quick recovery combine for an incredibly powerful rod with endless feel and sensitivity.

MICROSPEY AIR 2 — 10’9” 2WT.
The 2wt is our shortest model that is a sweet Scandi caster yet is more than capable of launching heavier Skagit heads and sinking tips. This this is a perfect small-river rod, or a bigger river stick when skating caddis, or presenting soft hackles. We like a 210 grain Skagit or a 180 grain Scandi. Add 8-10’ sinking or poly leaders that ring in the 80-grain range.

MICROSPEY AIR 2 — 11’ 3WT.
The do-it-all member of the family. From flashy sculpins on the Missouri, to swinging tandem soft hackles of the West Branch of the Delaware, this 3wt is up for the task. Capable of both long and short casts, it also pairs well as a great indicator rod for stillwater applications. Line it with a 240 grain Skagit, or a 210 grain Scandi with 10’ of T-10 for sink tips.

MICROSPEY AIR 2 — 11’3” 4WT.
Built with extra-power for bigger casts and flies, the 11’3” 4wt is the perfect choice for big water fishing. This powerful rod is ready for aggressive Skagit heads yet will handle longer lines utilizing touch-and-go techniques for ultra- smooth performance. A 300 grain Skagit or 275 Scandi, paired with 10’-12’ tips, are a sweet match for this amazing rod.
