Customer Reviews
We pride ourselves on stocking gear that gets the job done season after season. We're here to answer your questions, and our customers are here to share their experiences.
Great economy rod
The rod is listed as a "saltwater" rod. But I purchased it for lakes and large rivers ... Lochsa in Idaho and Yellowstone in Montana. So, do not be mislead by the "saltwater" label ... although I am sure that it is great there as well. Line wt and length allow for longer casts. I wanted an economic rod for the limited number of times that I fish the large rivers, and this Orvis is perfect. I am almost exclusively a Sage user ... but they do not offer an "economy" rod in the length and weight that I needed. The Orivs lives up to its reputation ... I am very pleased with it and would not hesitate to recommend it highly.
Missing Piece
Out of the box, the end cap to my fly rod holder is missing. If you can fix this, I will be satisfied with the purchase.
