Forge de Laguiole Tradition 12 cm Knife with Awl
Description
My family is from very near the town in France where these knives are made. When a new Revel is born they are given one of these knives to celebrate the birth. I have mine and cherish it.
This pocket knife was entirely hand made in the village of Laguiole and features a forged T12 steel blade, bolster and liners. Forge de Laguiole knives are truly and by far of the highest quality offered in the market today. Additionally, each one of this master piece is entirely handmade by the same craftsman to ensure pride in the completed piece. The Forge de Laguiole workshop is located in the tiny village of Laguiole, France - Pop. 1300 - where the Laguiole knife first appeared in the early 1800s.
Handle Material: Horn Tip from domestic African Zebu. The tip of the horn is the hardest and most durable - inferior horn handles are made from the bottom of the horn which will warp with time.
Blade: 3.93" / 10 cm long - 3 mm thick made of forged T12 alloy.
Size & weight: 12 cm / 4.72" (folded) 23 cm / 9" (open)
Bolsters & Liners: Forged T12 alloy
