Surf Merkin Cronin

Designed by Paul Cronin, this fly has revolutionized Southern California fishing for Corbina. Paul chose to incorporate orange over just the traditional gray flies. It is easy to cast, lightweight, and imitates a sand crab very well. The color makes it easier to see the fly's position in the water, allowing for more effective fishing. This pattern doubles up as a great surf perch fly.

This pattern was once tied commercially, but has been hard to find in recent years. So, we brought it back, custom, only found here at LCO!
