Yosemite Fly Fishing Report

YosemiteApr 13, 20161 min read
Rick Mazaira Reports on 4.13.2016

We have had even more water this last week and so watching flows is critical! We are looking forward to a great season!

Mokelumne- Closed till end of May.

Stanislaus- Spring pulses are starting with flows up to 1200 CFS on Sundays and lessening by Tuesdays to 600 CFS. Doing well- all subsurface with midges & #10 Stonefly nymphs.

Tuolumne- Fickle start early with tricos and then in the afternoon, caddis or move subsurface…

Basin Creek is looking great with Dry flies on the surface.

Merced- Open and with a recent release of rescue rainbow trout it is looking better. Some are fishing it but we, as a guide service, are choosing to let the fish population recover to a healthier level. Check out this link on our blog for the video & story. As Always feel free to check out our website for more information here
