We have been fishing the bay with pretty good success when the wind lays down. Don’t expect to just walk out and catch fish enjoy the process of hunting for these fish. If you want to shorten the learning curve and bend your rod check out Capt Gregg Holland and Feather Dog Outfitters:

Striper fishing in the bay is great right now. Schoolie’s are in all the usual spots and are a gas on a 7wt. Most are under 6 pounds but every day we get a dandy or 2. As we get deeper into the October the fishing will only get better. Find green water during the bite window which is generally 2 hours before and 1 hour after high tide and you will connect. Pink over white, chartreuse over white or all white are my colors.
