Buck Theriot reports on 10.29.2015

Temps are dropping, fingers are numbing, and jaws are shivering… ah
how I have missed the cold weather! But don’t let the cold weather
scare you off, cause the fishing continues to be great on the upper sac.
It’s also fishing better than the McCloud and you don’t need to deal
with the crowds! If you fish the upper section of the upper sac, you
will find more October caddis around than you will on the lower
stretches, so if you are on the search for the big caddis, fish the
upper sections of the river. The standard nymphs still seem to be
working great: rubber legs, black mayfly patterns, prince nymphs, and
variations of caddis patterns. Two days ago we pulled out a rare upper
sac brown on the lower stretches of the upper sac, it was great to see!
Dates available: November 1st-8th and November 11-20th. Upper sac & lower sac
