Upper and Lower Sac Fly Fishing Report

Lower Sacramento RiverOct 14, 20161 min read

Brian “Bucko” Theriot Reports on 10.13.2016

Upper Sac 10-13

Fall colors and dancing October caddis are out on the Northern California rivers and you don’t want to miss the upper sac scenery and the last big hatch of the year. The evenings have been flooded with October Caddis flying around and it has been great throwing dries and dry dropper rigs. Try your favorite October caddis dries and nymphs throughout the day, but other successful flies have been rubber legs, caddis and small mayfly nymphs.

Lower Sac

The Lower Sac continues to fish good despite being crowded. Expect the weekends to be extra crowded during this time of year. Eggs and caddis have have the top producers!
