Steve Hegedus landed this beauty this am in Marin.
The Bay continues to slowly clear and improve. The water clarity will vary day to day and the fish roam everyday too. Find bait and you’ll find stripers. The bigger fish from the Delta are on their way out to the ocean now so don’t be too shocked if you find a couple 5+ pounders in between the schoolies.
Tip of the week: Not all beaches are created equal. Some fish better incoming, some outgoing. You’ll learn more about structure walking a beach at low tide but often need to return at high tide to find fish pushed up and feeding over previously dry ground.
Haven’t heard much from the surf lately. Too much wind I’d say. Plenty of surf perch to be had and the beginnings of big stripers hunting in the waves. When you get a calm day with low swell get out. Don’t be afraid to hit up Monterey Bay…
