Ryan Johnston Reports on 7.14.2016

The striper fishing on the Sacramento River near Chico has been really
good the last couple of weeks. There are lots of fish in the system with
most days resulting in 20+ stripers being landed. Currently most of the
fish are in the 1-4lb class with a couple
5-8lb fish being hooked daily. With the colder water temperatures this
year it has been challenging to find the true “beasts” of the river. The
beauty of fishing the river for stripers is that you are only one cast
away from hooking that fish of a lifetime.
Expect good striper fishing to continue through the early part of
August. Come up the next few weeks and you will have a good time.
