Pyramid Lake right now can be a numbers game if you hit it right. Pyramid strain cutts are cruising the beaches looking for mates, spawning time you know. It still can be tough if you have no wind and direct sun, kinda what we’ve been having. You’re looking for some chop and or cloud cover. I’m not for getting there at 5 a.m., but if you do great, if not stay for the afternoon bite, more my style and usually better anyways. All the usual suspects are catching fish out at the lake. Retrieving buggers and beetles on the shooting head, nymphing under the indo, and fishing “naked” without the indo. Expect big crowds at the nets. May be best to fish with less people at some other beaches anyways.
