Owyhee
The Skwalas are starting to wind down on the Owyhee. There are still some bugs around, but every day there seems to be fewer and fewer. The BWO’s are still coming off in force especially on the overcast day. They usually show up around 1:30 and stick around for an hour or two.

Usually, around the 15th of April, each year is when they bump up the river a couple hundred CFS to provide more water for the farmers. When this happens it tends to knock the fish loopy for a few days until they find their new homes. So you will want to check the water level each day before you head that direction.
