North Fork Yuba Fly Fishing Report

North Fork Yuba RiverJul 31, 20141 min read

Jon Baiocchi, Baiocchi Outfitters

Fishing is still great and dry fly presentations upstream in the watershed is where the colder water is, and the best results. Today was cool with some thunderstorms and water temps ran 60-64 degrees. Algae is starting to flourish, some areas are thicker than others, bring your best wading boots, you’ll need them. Not much has changed since my report from last week except the rainbows are crushing ant patterns! Try an ant dropper off a Yellow Stimi - Deadly! Get it while you can, water levels are still dropping but thankfully there is prime habitat for these rainbows to thrive in.
