The Lower Yuba River Clinic presented by Hogan Brown
Lost Coast Outfitters and Hogan Brown Fly Fishing we be holding the clinic on the Lower Yuba February 7, 2015. You’ll be learning tips and techniques to help you fish the Lower Yuba better. With Hogan’s tutelage you’ll be ready to take your fly fishing to the next level.
Where to meet:
Browns Valley Gas Station at 8am - 5362 Marysville Rd Browns Valley, CA 95918. The Gas Station has a deli counter and people can get lunches and drinks at the store if needed. We will caravan from their to the spot where we will be doing the clinic.
Hogan will instruct you and three others on:
- Setting up common Lower Yuba rigs
- Nymph fishing with and without indicators
- Dry Fly fishing
- Fly choice
- Multiple public access points
- Mending
- Casting from shore
- Fishing etiquette
- How to identify trout holding water
- How to consistently catch trout on the Lower Yuba
- Tips and tricks from a professional
