Capt. Hogan Brown Reports on 7.15.15 :

Lower Sacramento River Striper Fishing - Has been good to very good,
just depends on the day and the mood of the fish. Some days we see great
numbers of 3-8lb fish and some days we see a few of those and a few
true trophies. Salmon season opens July 16th and this changes things a
bit…mostly for the better as salmon traffic pushes bigger fish to the
edges where we have more shots at them and as more and more salmon move
up the river their aggressive nature moves fish out of the deeper water.
We have already had a few opportunities on clear days to sight fish
with intermediate lines in the weed beds but as we move into late july
and early august these chances will increase. June through September is
prime time for river stripers. I have a few dates open (Sept 12th, 20th are IT!) and am already taking bookings for next summer if anyone is interested.
