Lower Sacramento Striper Report

Lower Sacramento RiverAug 4, 20171 min read

Hogan Brown Reports on 8/4/2017

Lower Sac Striper Fishing has been good. Plenty of schoolie and shaker fish with the true trophies eating on most days. There have been good numbers of 3-8lb fish and a few 10+ but the true trophies, 20+lbs have been out most days.  Water temps have come up a bit with the heat but if you are going to be outside the river is the coolest place in town. Most days we are off the water by 330pm when it gets really hot. Striper fishing should stay good through October and even into November. We have been getting fish on heavy sinking lines and by midday we are targeting fish on I Lines which is a ton fun as the grab is usually visual.
