Lower Sac Stripers and Lake Oroville Spots

Lower Sacramento RiverFeb 8, 20181 min read

Hogan Brown Reports on 2.8.2018

Lower Sacramento River Stripers - Winter striper fishing has been decent and getting better coming off the full moon. Fishing can be hit and miss as the bite is not consistent all day but when it is good it is pretty darn good. Good numbers of fish and good size in the mix. As long as river stays fishable and doesn’t blow out we can keep getting out to fish.

Lake Oroville Spotted Bass fishing has been good. Good numbers of 1-2lb fish coming on the float and fly. Late winter/early spring is prime time for this fishery and as the weather has warmed the fish are getting on the feed.
