Lower Sac Striper Report

Lower Sacramento RiverJul 27, 20171 min read

Hogan Brown reports on 7.27.17

Lower Sac Striper fishing - Fishing remains good to great depending on the day. We continue to land plenty of healthy quality fish in the 3-5lbs range are having shots at double digit fish each each with some true trophy’s in the mix (3 fish over 20lbs last week). Salmon fishing is open and boat traffic can be an issue but knowing where the salmon are will help know where the salmon anglers will concentrate. Fish are starting to move to the back waters and shallows as boat traffic and salmon push them out and I Line fishing has been good later in the day. The last few days we have had some great stretches of I Line fishing in 2-6’ of water. Really fun as you see the whole thing go down! Fishing should remain good through October - August and September are some of the best months of the season - and while i have limited dates open my other two captains have dates so don’t think you have missed out give us a call and we can get you out on the water.
