Lower Sac Striper Report

Lower Sacramento RiverSep 1, 20171 min read

Hogan Brown reports 9.1.2017

Lower Sacramento River Striper Fishing - Fishing remains good as it has been all summer but it is obvious the seasons are changing as the days are getting shorter. Sun comes up later and goes down sooner. We are in the middle of another heat wave but the later sun rise is keeping the mornings cooler for a bit. Fish are feeding throughout the day but seem to be concentrating a bit more and the bigger fish are starting to show themselves a bit more and not just when they are in the feeding zones. This usually means salmon are around and pushing them out of deeper water. Fishing should remain good as along as the river stays in shape through the first rains.
