Lower Sac Striper Fishing

Lower Sacramento RiverJun 9, 20171 min read

Hogan Brown Reports on 6.9.2017

Lower Sac Striper Fishing is fair to good. There are plenty of migratory fish around and the bigger resident fish are starting to feed as the Shad thin out. Fishing this week should really pick up on the back side of the full moon and as the warmer weather moves in. Fish are averaging about 5-10lbs and the bigger fish should start feeding more heavily in the traditional feeding lies as the weeds began to come up. Fishing heavy sinking lines, changing fly colors and patterns, as well as covering water is key to putting a good day together.
