Lower Sac Fly Fishing Report

Lower Sacramento RiverNov 23, 20171 min read

Ryan Johnston Reports on 11.22.2017

The Lower Sac is back into its winter trends with low water flows and rainy days. The clouds and rain make the baetis want to Hatch. The baetis fishing on the river has been really good as of late. No reason to get out there early as the best fishing is from 10AM - 3PM. The quality of fish has been all over the board with small guys to nice big chunky Lower Sac rainbows. Expect things to keep improving here over the next two weeks as the November crowds diminish. Once the crowds are gone then it takes a couple weeks for the really big guys to come out and play. December is one of my favorite months on the Lower Sac as their is usually no one there and it is the best big fish month of the year. Give me a shout if you want to book a trip.
