Anthony Carruesco, AC Fly Fishing
It’s been a great couple of weeks up on the Klamath River.. Steelhead are prevalentbut it takes the right flies, drift and presentation to get em. You have to know where the fish are to catch them. We have seen a lot of boats up there recently spinning circles, throwing their flies anywhere and wondering why their rods aren’t bent. Hire somebody who knows whats going on up there. There are plenty of us. As the Kings wrap up their spawn, fish should start to move out of the redds and into their colder, winter water spots. I’m looking forward to a great winter steelhead season on the Klamath.
My next open days are November 29th-30th (Saturday and Sunday). This could be a great weekend to head north and get after some steelhead. Check out THIS LINK to see some more of whats been happening on the steelhead front this Fall.
