Klamath River Fly Fishing Report
Chuck Volckhausen of Wild Waters Fly Fishing Reports on 9.29.2106
Outlook for the the Klamath river steelhead season is pretty good. Fish were fairly grabby and often happy to jump and shake the hook. Water temps above the mouth of the Trinity were between 61 and 64 degrees near the surface in the riffle, on the 4 occasions I checked, which were all mid morning. Salmon are spread throughout the river now and it seamed all the fish are willing to move. As always I think a good rain would help bring some of the fish out of the lower river.
