Cory Godell reports on 6/30/15 :

If you haven’t got you trout fix yet, there’s still plenty time. The
trout fishing on the Deschutes should continue to fish good on through
August. Even though we didn’t get our usual snowpack this year, the
Deschutes is flowing strong and will continue to do so through the rest
of the season. With all the hot, hot weather we’ve been having the
caddis hatches have been coming off like crazy. And to top it off the
Deschutes is all but void of fishermen. So nows the time to hit the
Deschutes.

Don’t forget we are just over a month from steelhead season. Starting
around the first of August we will start targeting these amazing fish.
