October Trout

Trout fishing remains good so far this month. Just because October is here doesn’t mean that trout fishing is done. A lot of times late September and October can be some of the best trout fishing of the season; and so far this year is holding true to that. Lately we’ve had better than average caddis hatches, still the occasional mayfly hatch and the Jumbo October caddis are showing in big numbers.

Steelhead

So far this steelhead fishing has been better than we had predicted. With fewer people fishing for them and the catch limit down from 3 fish to 1 fish this year, it has really played into our favor. Steelhead fishing should continue to be good right on through November.
