Bryce Tedford Reports on 3.29.18
California Delta

Delta Striper fishing has been more of a challenge this week with dirtier water from recent rains. That said I was just out & managed 10+ fish to 5lbs, the trick was to find reasonable clean water that was holding fish that bite. There is a fair amount of fish in the system so as the water clears the catching will improve. April & May are shaping up to be prime Striper months & I would suggest getting out if time permits! Water temperatures are currently 55-57 degrees & warmer weather will continue to warm the Delta.

The key to finding more fish is moving around to various areas in the Delta & finding willing biters in cleaner water. In dirty water I have been using 3-5” Rattle Clousers in various colors such as Chartreuse over White or Black/Purple over Chartreuse has been good in dirtier water. Good luck out there & enjoy the nice weather in the coming week!
