Fishing is good if you can pick a no wind day between
storms. Some good size stripers mixed in with the schoolie stripers.
Best lines are the intermediate for shallow water fishing or the fast
sinker for the water deeper than 8 feet. The two best clousers would be
the chartreuse over white Clouser minnow or Olive over orange a and
white Clouser.
If
your looking for a top Striper rod I will suggest an 8 wt Redington
Vapen Red or a Sage One in the same 8 wt. configuration A sage 4200 is a
great large arbor reel that will get the job done. I like the 8 weight
best especially for the larger Stripers . Wishing you happy holidays.
