California Delta Fly Fishing Report

DeltaMay 3, 20181 min read

Bryce Tedford reports on 5.3.18

Delta

The weather is warm, the water has cleared & we are catching some fish. We have been dealing with some windy days that can make fishing a challenge but there are some fish to be found.

We are still working hard to get good #’s of fish & have been averaging 10-15 fish to 5lbs with an occasional larger fish mixed in. With water temperatures, 65+ degrees the Largemouth continue to get aggressive & are a fun surprise while chasing Stripers.

I have been using a mix of both rattle Clouser Minnows & traditional Clouser Minnows 4-6” in length. Various colors have been effective but a variation in Chartreuse/white is tough to beat!
