Nothing was on fire this week but it was a mixed bag as we found quality Stripers, Largemouth & Smallmouth. This time of year it can be a fun challenge to chase all 3 bass species in the same day
& get a “Bass Slam”. Hard to beat size 2 Topwater frogs for Largemouth, smaller size 6-8 poppers for Smallmouth & size 1/0-2/0 Clouser minnows for Stripers. For Topwater Stripers I like to use 1/0-2/0 Crease flies with silver bellies when they are visually eating on top.
Striper fishing is not far off, October & November are almost always 2 of the better months & will of course book up quickly so reserve your spots soon!
