Butte Creek Fly Fishing Report

Dec 4, 20141 min read

Hogan Brown, Hogan Brown Fly Fishing

Butte Creek has been hovering around 95cf which is low and really needs a big push of water to move fish up it. The creek peaked around 300cfs with the last storm and this should help. A friend and I fished it this last weekend and fishing was slow, no steelhead and only one trout hooked. The creek needs more and more water to move fish up and a flow of about 200-400cfs to get the raft down the creek. mid to late December through January are best for trout and steelhead fishing on the creek.
